Sisters

Orishas Oshún and Yemayá are syncretized as Our Lady of Charity and and Our Lady of Regla in Cuba. These sister deities reign over the river and ocean bodies and are identified by the colors yellow and blue, respectively. My rendition of the sisters steers away from the traditional Madonna and Child representation and concentrates instead on the relationship between the two goddesses.
